Speakers confirmed for Madrid, including Spanish Government

Juan Carlos Ramiro Iglesias, Director General of Social Policy Coordination, Spanish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs is the latest speaker to be confirmed for the Madrid conference 'Leading Sustainably and Innovatively out of the Recession'

The conference will be an interactive and stimulating event using case-studies, workshops and expert panels, bringing together civil society leaders from across Europe, business, government and European officials.

Confirmed speakers also include:

  • Paul Adamson, CEO, The Centre
    The Centre is the first Brussels' first "think-do tank", operating at the interface of European public policy and communications. He is also the founder and publisher of "E! Sharp" magazine

  • Stephen Bubb, CEO, ACEVO
    He is Chief Executive of ACEVO (Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations). His blog is part of the national Blog archive at the British Library

  • María Calvo, CEO, Ashoka España
    Maria Calvo is CEO at Ashoka, the global association of the world's leading social entrepreneurs. She has joined it after seven years in eBay, as general manager for Spain

  • Marco Crescenzi, CEO, ASVI 
    Founder and President of ASVI, Foundation for Non Profit Development, Management School for non profit, leader in Italy. He is the creator and coordinator of Leader2Leader - Leaders for civil society, the first Italian network of non profit leaders and managers. He is the Coordinator of the ‘Observatory on Professions and Jobs in the Third Sector' and Member of the Scientific Comitee of the Fund Raising Festival (Italy) since 2008 

  • Luis Crespo, CEO, Foundacion ONCE

  • Antonio Garrigues, Chairman, Garrigues Law Firm
    As well as being Chariman of Garrigues, Mr Garrigies is also Honorary President of the Spanish Committee of the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), designated World Lawyer by the World Peace Through Law Centre, founder of the Spanish Chapter of Transparency International (TI), a global organization leading the fight against corruption and has four honrary Doctorate degrees

  • Elena Garrigues, Managing Director, Garrigues Foundation

  • Juan Carlos Ramiro Iglesias, Director General of Social Policy Coordination, Spanish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs
