Membership and affiliations

Euclid Network (EN) is a member of several European networks and affiliations. Through EN, our members can have a voice at some of the most important discussions and at the forefront of Europe's most pressing debates.

Institutional Groups

Steering Committees:

  • Eastern Partnership
    The EaP, launched in May, is the EU's major political initiative for working with the six former Soviet neighbours to the east: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. 

  • Civil Society Facility, EU Steering Group
    The Civil Society Facility is a mojor European project to strengthen civil socuiety in the Western Balkans and Turkey. Delivered by SIPU, a large Swedish consultancy, the project includes the creation of technical assistance desks in each of the target countries. The EU Steering Group is the EU's main oversight body for the project and comprises of various European civil society bodies with a strong interest in the region. 

Groups:

  • Active European Citizenship Group
    DG Education and Culture has decided to structure the dialogue with NGOS participating in the Europe for Citizens program.

    The Active European Citizenship Group, set up by DG Education and Culture, is the main tool by which the EC structure its diallgue with NGOs participating in the Europe for Citizens Programme. The group main goal is to address how to encourage the participation of European citizens in the EU project and activities. The next meeting is Tuesday, 12 January, Brussels.

  • Civil Society Working Group on EU financial Support
    The civil society working group sits within DG Education and Culture and is chaired by Euclid Network. The group was created to explore the ways in which EU funding could be improved to better work for the sector. The final outcomes recommendations were produced in a report which was submitted to the EC's public consultation on the review of the financial regulation. 

  • European Year of Volunteering Alliance
    The EYV 2011 Alliance is an informal network of major NGO European networks with a particular interest in volunteering who have committed to working together on the promotion, lobbying, organisation and implementation of the EYV 2011.

    We are 20 European networks gathering over 1,500 direct member and partner organisations all over Europe and beyond, reaching out to hundreds of thousands of volunteers.

  • Council of Europe
    EN has been granted participatory status with the Council of Europe. Participatory status enables International Non-governmental Organisations (INGO) to increase active participation in the policies and work programme of the Council of Europe, and to reinforce co-operation between the Council of Europe and the various associations in member States.

Civil Society Groups

  • Bond
    Bond is the UK membership body for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in international development. Bond promotes, supports, represents and, on occasion, leads the work and interests of UK international development organisations. It does this through the exchange of experience, ideas and information and, as the UK network of international development organisations, supports members to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of the sector.

  • Bond - European Neighbourhood Working Group 
    EN is on the steering group for the BOND ENWG - a group of NGOs that have a strategic interest in civil society in the region  

  • CONCORD 
    Through BOND, EN is a member of CONCORD, the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development. Its 18 international networks and 22 national associations from the European Member States represent more than 1600 European NGOs vis-à-vis the European Institutions.

  • Anna Lindh
    The Anna Lindh Foundation is an organisation shared and resourced by over 40 Euro-mederranean countries, to bring people together as a way to promote dialgue between cultures and respect for diversity. The foundation leads regional initiatives and support local activities carried out by organisations based across civil society which advocate for a egtter understanding among people, religion and beliefs, and champion human rights and democracy.  

  • European Citizen Action Service (ECAS)
    ECAS was created in 1990 as an international non-profit organization, independent of political parties, commercial interests and the EU Institutions.  Its mission is to enable NGOs and individuals to make their voice heard with the EU by providing advice on how to lobby, fundraise, and defend European citizenship rights.

    ECAS is large cross-sectoral European association bringing together members from different areas of activity: civil liberties, culture, development, health and social welfare, as well as general civil society development agencies.

  • Social Innovation eXchange
    The Social Innovation eXchange (SIX) - a global community of over 700 individuals and organisations - including small NGOs and global firms, public agencies and academics - committed to promoting social innovation around the world
