Civil society is no longer a marginal sector. Rather, it is a source of growth, wealth and employment. By using our connections the wider network we aim to give the sector a greater voice both within the policy making processes and in the media.
Euclid Network aims to influence in a variety of ways:
We provide our members with the latest EU policy news and provide policy briefings, and use the power and influence of the network to ensure that civil society leaders are at the forefront of European policy making. We will never just criticise and complain about the European institutions; we always offer solutions.
In the past we have used Telepresence to bring civil society and EU officials together to discuss policy and joint projects. Catherine Ashton, High Representative of European Affairs and Vice-President of the European Commission gave the keynote at our last AGM. Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, wrote the introduction to our publication on civil society leadership.
