Sustainability

The sector needs to be run and funded sustainably if it is to have any long-term impact. However, in a new era of government and donor cuts, this is becoming increasingly difficult.

Euclid Network supports our members in sourcing new income, either through new and innovative projects (e.g. social enterprise) or with help accessing vital European funds - through our European Fundind Helpdesk.

We run numerous events on sustainability and innovation, for example, Euclid Network ran a roundtable at the European Parliament on innovative ways to fund civil society. We also send funding opportunities to members and produce various case studies.

We continue to connect our members so that partnerships can develop in pan-European projects. Several members have collaborated through Euclid Network and have secured funding as a result.

We deliver tailored practical training on how to access European funding and plan to produce YouTube video tutorials on income generation. Members can also access e-resources and our European funding helpdesk.

Euclid Network also supports members and partners in the area of social enterprise and have delivered training on social enterprise in the Western Balkans. Sustainability and innovation in funding is a core theme throughout our projects, for example in our EC-funded project in Serbia to increase the financial sustainability of NGOs.

We work extensively on enabling a funding-friendly environment for civil society through our policy and lobbying work, such as through our flagship campaigns to reform European funding and raise the profile of social innovation.

We will also be developing our policy work on establishing a European Bank for Social Investments.
